2005 12 14 Baltic Opportunities Fund was established. Investment fund Baltic Opportunities Fund (currently Prudentis Baltic Fund) begun its activities. It was the first time Fund's investment unit's value was calculated. Investment Fund's custody agreement was signed. Investment Fund's custody agreement was signed. Hansabankas started performing custody fuctions for Baltic Opportunities Fund. Hansabankas belongs to the Scandinavian Swedbank gruop which leads the Baltic and Nordic markets. Swedbank group has more than 8,9 mln. private and nearly 460 thousand business clients in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia and sweden. The group has 477 representative offices in Sweden and 295 in The Baltic States. Swedbank group employs over 17 thousand people (more than 3 thousand of them in Lithuania). Lithuanian SEC approved Baltic Opportunities Fund rules. The Securities Commission of the Republic of Lithuania approved investment fund Baltic Opportunities Fund rules by decision Nr. 2K-384. This is when Baltic Opportunities Fund (currently Prudentis Baltic Fund) history began. Fund‘s Investment Policyis to benefit its investors from forecasted long term economic growth in the Baltic States by investing into shares of companies which receive substantial part of their revenues and income from doing business in this region. The fund shall mostly focus on investing into companies that are most likely beneficiaries of this economic growth. The fund shall try to acquire such companies at reasonable price and focus on good long term investment performance. Lithuanian SEC licenced BVP Investicijų Valdymas. The Securities Comission of Republic of Lithuania provided investment management company BVP Investicijų Valdymas with a licence for: managing investment funds, managing investment variable companies; managing other persons investment instruments (investment) portfolios; managing restricted distribution collective investment schemes; consulting on investment decisions regarding investment instruments; keep and manage investment fund units or investment variable companie stocks. |
