2009 02 02 Prudentis Baltic Fund has beaten the Benchmark for the third consecutive year Prudentis Baltic Fund NAV per unit has finished the year 2008 at the value of 47,47LTL, down 62,49% from the previous year’s close. The Benchmark index, Baltic Benchmark Cap GI, which covers the largest and the most liquid companies traded on Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn stock exchanges, was down by 67,04%. Even though the Year 2008 in absolute numbers was the worst year during the Fund’s existence, it is worth to mention that each year since inception the fund has beaten the Benchmark by a substantial margin. Comparing cumulative results it is the best performing Investment fund in the Baltic region since 2005. Prudentis was granted the right to manage Special collective investment undertakings The Securities Commission of the Republic of Lithuania on the 3rd of September, 2008, decided to enhance the business license of Prudentis by granting it the right to manage Special collective investment undertakings or special investment funds. Prudentis was granted the right to manage three new types of funds: Undertakings for collective investment into transferable securities, collective investment undertakings investing into other collective investment undertakings (Fund of Funds) and hedge or alternative collective investment undertakings (Hedge Funds). Until recently Prudentis had a license to manage Harmonised collective investment undertakings (UCITS). The granted license will allow Prudentis to offer more types of investment vehicles for the investor community. 2008 02 29 Prudentis website was remarkably upgraded.
